What is needed is something like the “direct sales provisions” of the NSW Fair Trading Act – if someone comes to your house without your invitation there is a compulsory “cooling off period” during which you (the consumer) can change your mind and return the goods without any payment or penalty. Then you won’t have to worry about these cockroaches! (How do I know? I’m a lawyer in Sydney practising immigration and citizenship law although I’m from PJ and have a Master of Laws degree in International Trade Law).

Perhaps you can get hold of some MCA/Gerakan/PPP type to propose this so that he/she can be “champion of the people” (God knows, these parties need some good news after what I have been reading about the Govt in the media).
