Insurance not importent? ya.. insurance are not importent when u no need it.. can u predict future ? what will happen tomorrow no body know.. insurance is like a parachute…when u drop from the sky.. u dun have a parachute u will never need it any more…

ahyap, i agree with you that some mutual fund are not working to its potential.

But mutual funds are really meant for you to minimise your risk and you should invest by doing a regular saving to increase your units when it is down.

and u need 3 years to see its growth and normally in a steady market more than 50% and by doing regular saving u acquire more units. and eventually very near to your 20% per year return goal.

anyway, ICAP is still below 2 ringgit now

Buddy – Your song and promo dance is way back in April2008. Since then with the sub prime mess and global economic crisis, cash is still king. I am in stocks and foreign currency and all have losses despite putting into `sure wins’. Nothing is unscarth in times of turmoil. Go for fixed income and capital protected investments.

good analogy!! if meet all 100 women in pub and we probably can merely”meet” the prettiest chick but cannot take any advantage.. and we might be giving a flirt impression to them. the best method that i would like to share is to screen thru small groups and find one of the pretty chick and spend time on her, higher chance to know prettier and reduce uglyiest possibility, as in theory, 物以类聚, pretty chick will get along with pretty chick, pork chop will with pork chop…

p/s: humble request if you can share technical analysis like MACD, fibonannci, etc…

‘Gurus’ can share their ’secrets’ freely because of 2 reasons.
#1. Not everyone will listen to them, including you and boyboycute. Even ‘guru’ boyboycute share his ’secrets’ portfolio in his blog.
#2. There is a lot of people pretending to be Guru, and I think I am one of them. Wahahahaha.

thank you to boyboycute for agreeing on my 2 sen opinion. sorry ahyap , i have no quarrel with TTB , Warren Buffet or Peter Lynch . it’s just that i have a very jaundiced view of so-called ” investments guru “. If they are so good at making money in the stock markets , they definitely WON’T share their knowledge to every ahbengs , ahmat & ahru ! they will be queitly making millions for themselves. if they share their so-called “expertise & knowledge ” with all & sundry , then everyone will “win” !!!! So who will lose , huh ????

there’s no such thing as stock market “sure-win”. TTB is a suave promoter , and with his impeccable credentials , he is what we would call self-appointed ( or self-marketed ?? ) leader of a “herd mentality” pack. don’t forget , guys , he is human too . And we are all subjected to the ups & downs of the market forces around the world. And he is piling on too much on too few counters , thats dangerous. Or maybe he knows something intimate about the counters which i don’t know.
