This is not “interest rate”, this is “investment return”. You have to do it via stock market or properties. Some people get 15% compounded return. Some people lose their pants. Why such big differences? Because some people put in effort to learn about investing. Some people just speculate/gamble without any knowledge. Is driving F1 and speed to 300kmh dangerous? That depends on whether your are trained or untrained. Same to investing. No one are born a great investor, you have to learn and master it.

Hi ah Yap, I’m still a 2nd year student in Uni. I am so interested with your articles. And I started to read Warren Buffett’s book weeks before. The first book which benefit myself except den textbook. Even I am reading through it but still as a IT student, I don’t know well about finance ~ invest ~ accounts. Is there any book u can recommend me to learn about invest from beginning ?

I think it is achieveable to save RM50,000 in 5 years for average graduates. In other words, save RM10,000 every year. Invest your money (RM2000 for every transaction) in ICAP every two months when it is still undervalued. Never buy ICAP when the price is too high or it is overvalued.
