We have to pay streamyx bill to avoid our account from suspended while we wait for rebate that we request.Usually, rebate request will take at least 1 month to processed it.From my experience,if i have technical problem and unable to get connection for a few days or weeks,i will send an email to custcare@tm.net.my and request for rebate. Then within a week i will get a reply from TMNet Customer Care and they will process my rebate within a month. So,for the next bill i can see a deduction from the rebate that i request.Just a simple thing.Pay 1st then we will get the rebate if the problem came from Streamyx.
Be patient dude!

From my hard experience from streamyx, you would still have to pay for streamyx bil. However you can make a rebate request so that you will be refunded for the days your internet is actually down and not usable. I do not know whether it will cover partial slowness after which we are having now (2 weeks or more) after the quake.
I have tried calling them, but its not useful since they do not specialize in rebate.
I tried emailing 'customer care' them after getting advice from the TM guys at billing department from the call. After two emails and a few weeks, they still has done nothing on it, but it is in the databse and will be processed 'sometime', according another TM phone technician that is.
After sending the request again to the ceo email address, my rebate is processed quickly and promptly. And I happy got my rebate.

I actually tried called them and enquired on this b4, however, when i was successfully tranferred from the tech department to the billing department, they says they have no idea wwhther there will be a rebate or not, they keep saying that is not their fault or something..

So, bad news then, i guess, we still have to pay for full after all, unless we write a formal letter and submit at their headquaters or probbably we could all sign and hand over a Memorandum to them..
