TM-NUT’s Management Is Worst Than Saddam! Incapable, Ignorant, Dishonest, Irresponsible !
Dec 31st, 2006 by AhYap
I did try to control my frustration on Streamyx because I understand it is due to an earthquake (natural disaster)…
But still, I am boiled…
How can TM-NUT management can be so dishonest and ignorant on their current situation. I know the situation is very bad, why not stand up and admit it clearly and let us know exactly how bad is the situation and how long would it takes to really rectify the problem? Instead, they write shits like this in their website
> Internet users in Malaysia and other parts of Asia may be experiencing some delay when assessing content and websites hosted outside of Malaysia, especially in U.S., Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and Europe. TM Net has taken immediate action to divert traffic through other back-up links to reduce the traffic congestion.
Some delay? SOME? SOME? May be? MAY? Why they don’t have the guts to admit it like a man? Everyone know it is a SERIOUS DELAY. not “Some Delay”!!! Tell us the truth that we need to know. You mention about back-up links, do you really have any back-up links? What kind of load can your back-up links handle? I know internet users in Malaysia is seriously affected, but I doubt Singapore is. So stop using phases like “Malaysia and other parts of Asia” but just say MALAYSIA. Because you are only responsible for Malaysia broadband, even other countries do bad doesn’t relate to you. Focus on your duty.
> especially in U.S., Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and Europe.
Wahaha, isn’t that consider the whole internet?
> We would like to assure you that we are doing all that is necessary in order to restore the service as soon as possible
Rubbish. Everyone know how to write this kind of rubbish. How you assure? What is the necessary? When is soon?
> We will be making further announcements when the service has resumed.
When are your “further announcements”? You wrote a 240 words totally useless announcement on 27th December and I heard nothing else from you. Busy celebrating your Christmas and New Year? This is a SERIOUS RED-ALERT LEVEL EMERGENCY, and as your customers for 4 years, all I get was the 240 words from your website and the 1 minute “briefing” from 1300-88-9515?
I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!
TM-NUT, the way you run your business SUCKS. You are irresponsible to your customers who pay you every month for your promised services. You are dishonest by saying something like ‘may be experiencing some delay’. Your can be ignorant because you monopolized the broadband in Malaysia and thus giving us no choice but to pay for your rubbish service only!
Countries like Singapore are affected too but not as serious as our level since not all their ‘international links’ are broken, they can still deliver their service. It looks like our TM-NUT only have one link and when it is damaged, everything is broken. I am not using the Internet for P2P or Torrent. I am not playing World Of WarCraft or Ragnarok. Nor I am watching any YouTube videos. I don’t even need to blog here (I blog here because my site is hosted in Malaysia and it is the only site I still can access to).
BUT I need to renew my domain name before 3 January 2007 before it is expired. I still can’t access my domain registrar until today…
I need to control my money in my trading account! I can’t login to my account and thus I can’t do anything… I can’t sell!
I need to do routine things online because that’s my JOB. My rice-bowl will broke if I can’t do that…
If the flood in Johor can take away life and destroyed properties… Then the rubbish TM-Net can also destroyed mine just like the flood… I am now drowning in the “virtual” flood created by TM-NET.
Update: AhYap has stop complaining because he is too tired. Please read his final post on solving your slow TM Net Streamyx for his last ranting episode. Commenting for this post is now closed.

Yeah this is malaysia…forget this you are malaysian, you have muslim goverment, you have to watch movies with out FUCK word and kiss part !(but you can listen it in club and also you have Bitch club),you do not import orginal game but you trying to stop selling copy games… yes you are malaysia.
Not only that! They even blame P2P user made their connection slow! What The Fuck!
hahaha..who ask u to stay in malaysia!! we got no choice mah….haha…just be patient lah..wat 2 do??
The CIBAI TM-NUT and STREAMYX can survive because they have the stupid monopoly on Malaysia internet. They can be ‘lan si lan yong’ now but technology renew very fast, once we don’t need to rely on telephone line and DSL but WIMAX in the future, I will say “Fuck Off TM-NUT!”
Hopefully the lan jiao government will choose carefully who to give the WIMAX license. We need some company that is competent, not monopoly ass hole or useless ‘empty shell’ company.
yeah, you guys are definately right, these fucking tmnut are fucking useless, no backup links at all and i felt shame on you – Bastard TMNut and shame for being a malaysian
Hmm, just like what I have experienced since a month ago. But wait, do you know with RM88 you get BBPhone, eBrowse etc.. etc. The funny part is they don’t mentioned it to you, you have to find it yourself.
I called the careline (or don’t care line) select product info, wait for 5 minutes, the guy answering know nuts about the promotions. When asked about BBphone he simply said “Itu orang tak pakai!” eBrowse.. “apa tu?”
Now they started blaming the copper, the copper is the cluprit! old copper, stolen copper etc.. etc.
I am not paying my Dec bill. If you call the don’t care line in the future, choose English. You’ll get more intelligent ape answering the call.
Wahahah, “TM-NET Don’t Care Line” is exactly what I am feeling. Few months ago I called the don’t care line for over 10 times. They just kick me like a ball. They don’t have records on your previous issues. You have to repeat everything again and again and again.
I also called for the EARTHQUAKE issue, they told me they are also customer for the submarine lines and they also need to complaint to another company. So, see, they BLAME. they never learn. They just BLAME.
Telekom has been ignorant to my phone copper line stolen issue since 3 weeks ago. What can an innocent resident like me do..is to keep on complain through number 100, i have been complained until i gotta knew the customer service sweet operator. plan to date her out and understand more about telekom and tmnet. Thanks Telekom!
nolah, starhub also crawling, same goes to singnet, every bloody thing affected. internet booking of muvee ticks using cc also blocked. all same lah….
Wahseh, seems like TM-Nuts is really makes everyone boiling, except for fanbankeong who hooked up girls… guess i must read your blog more often to learn about girls.
TM Nuts you really really SUCK !! if there we’er another broadband company in Malaysia given the same previledge as TM Net. You guys will lose hands-down!! Your Customer service sucks ! Those apes working there only know how to write reports, and don’t know how to call technician to solve the problem. Guys, a tip from me… next time you call the TM Nut customer ‘care’ line just insist to speak to the supervisor on duty, those kecik-molek have practically NO power at all. Remember always call a supervisor on duty! p/s: I hope your customer ‘care’ line will cut shot all those CRAP we’ve been hearing all these years! just tell us the TRUTH! I really do hope OUR MALAYSIAN goverment is reading THIS PAGE!!
First time checking this blog, LOL, TM-NUT, what a good fitting name indeed, LOL..
One thing thats obvious about TM-NUT is, they keep passing the problem to the others..
You can also call TM
TAK MALU!
Wahahahaha.
Thing is…this is indeed the Malaysian service industry. When we go to a public toilet and they ask us to pay 50cents and the toilet smells really bad, is the 50cents for using a clean toilet or is it to pay for peeing?. They build a highway and implement the toll system. Do we pay for a faster and congestion free highway or do we just pay to be allowed to drive?. They introduce broadband connection. Do we pay the different rates for speed or we just pay to get online?. The problem is..they dont seem to understand the meaning of the word “service” as compared to many countries aboard. Malaysian service means we pay to use, not pay because we want more efficiency and reliability. Transparency and accountability are all just words. No matter who is incharge…no matter which company..no matter if part of their corporate creed states the best in customer service….at end day, it is about making a few individual richer and those few individuals will not pay an extra cent to offer even a bare minimum of service. Sadly this is Malaysia with its attitude. To change, people need to stop complaining and start protesting in real. If 1 million people stop paying streamyx, do you think they will try to do better?. Will people just say “aiyooo bear with it lah”?. The general public here is ever tolerant and forgiving…complains pours in but oh heck after all this is Malaysia and it will get better and soooooo lets be patient about it. That is why things never change here for any better but only on the surface with plenty of worms underneath.
So what do we do? 3 options….get out of the country, live with it or protest as a community not as an individual.
Those 240 words that you quoted and counted, were, well, not written by them even. It was blatantly plagiarized from a neighboring country’s ISP. I’ve been following the progress and status of the RNAL/APCN/APCN2 restoration works and sad to say, TMNet is the only isp (yes, ONLY ISP) in this region that doesn’t have constant updates on the restoration works posted on their main page, unlike the other ISPs who are responsible and committed to deliver and maintain QoS. To make it worse, it was old news that they copied.
‘Earthquake kat Taiwan, tu bukan kita punya pasal…’. Nice work TM… nice work.
… and Wolverine, I agree with you hands down, but unfortunately, having a last mile monopoly (and not just ISP license) doesn’t give you an option to do much. This coupled with the fact that TM themselves know that the barrier for entry is extremely high in the broadband biz, makes things even worse. Let’s be frank, do we really think that TM themselves do not know that their service is crap? It’s just that even if it’s crap, unless you stop using it totally, or move outta the country, there’s just nothing that they are going to do unless they feel like it. Yes, feel like it. You can complain (gawd knows I have officially and informally, from emails to letters to newspapers), but I doubt it will do any good because of their attitude and unchallenged monopoly. You could be the minister of telecommunications and make a complain yourself, and all they’re gonna do it probably hype it up for a few days, and then it’s back to the same old crap in the following days…
Do we see TM flourishing in the mobile segment of the telco business? Hell no, simply because there ARE alternatives there. Consumers do not like it, they move. Simple really.
So far I use Streamyx, playing online games, surfing, quite ok for me~
Information for youtube user, we still cant view da streaming videos smoothly because our broadband speed (1Mps) is insufficient. Other country already use 10MBps.. or even 100MBps. What i heard, in India… people who using broadband(128kbps) already said they have fastest internet speed.. LOL!
We have to admit Malaysia is still moving futher to catch up modern country like Japan. It takes time… be patient.
You dont like streamyx? You hate da slow connection? Then decide to move out from da country? LOL!! stupid! I rather stay in Malaysia… more peaceful.. ~
but I do dissapointed about their customer service… kinda bad ~
Yoz, singaporean gamer over here. i’ve heard alot of my malaysian friends all complain for a very long time about how your govt owned ISP is giving crap service, and i have to admit, because i play Ragnarok Online, i have to agree with them. Back before the RO servers were moved back from taiwan, the lag was still managable. Now? unbearable. i’ve come to have the impression that malaysian companies/govt-owned companies like Gameflier for example= not worth the time.
My streamyx password got stolen by someone. That fu**er subscribed all the services for me.Damn!I suspect it’s an insider’s job.
What really sucks is the attitude of the TM NET customer service who replies to email. I dont know whether these TM NET customers were ever trained or not? They replied your email without even leaving a name!!! Ello, even a cat or a thing has name. For goodness sake, build some sense into the head of these “Customer Service”. When I question further, they stopped replying !!!
It’s terrible beyond description.
That’s what happened to Malaysia when there is lack of competition. I guess we just have to learn things the hard way. Many historical examples have shown us the dire consequences of such blunder.
